Richard Young - The History of Norton College

Richard taught at Norton School/Collage from 1973 to 2006, retiring as Assistant Head Teacher. A native of Norton, he attended Norton Primary, Norton Boys' School and Malton Grammar School.

After three years as a Customs and Excise Officer he entered teaching via St.John's College, York where he gained his Cert.Ed followed by a Bachelor of Education degree from Leeds University.

Married for almost forty years, he has two daughters, a son and three grandchildren. He lives in Wrelton near Pickering.
